Thanks to longer suspension travel, the large 21-inch front wheel and the enduro tyres the BMW F 650 GS Dakar gets directly to its destination. Yet this tough guy goes easy on nature: the engine management system BMS-C II in combination with the Two Spark dual ignition and closed-loop 3-way catalytic converter makes for lower fuel consumption and much reduced exhaust emissions. The powerful and refined 4-valve single cylinder engine provides gutsy acceleration. For holders of the under-age motorcycle license there is a power reduction available as an optional extra.
