South Africa is a beautiful country blessed with extraordinary contrasts: Wild coastline, vast tracts of untouched wilderness, iconic natural wonders, amazing wildlife, superb wines and a year-round idyllic climate.

Our journey starts in Cape Town before an easy day to The Cape of Good Hope where oceans meet. We then head off along the Garden Route and the Western Cape, stopping in small towns like Prince Albert nestling under the Swartberg Mountains. Then into the little Karoo and the option to visit one of the Ostrich Farms that are all around you.

From here we head to Addo Elephant Camp. This national park of over 600 square miles is home to Elephant, Rhinoceros, Lion, Buffalo and Leopards. We have a day off here to take a game drive and see what we can find in this vast reserve.

There is more game spotting to be done as we move on to a Private Reserve where you will enjoy a sunset game drive with more chances to see and photograph the diverse wildlife.

Then we head to the coast for a couple of nights where you can enjoy the long sandy white beaches and lagoons with a day off just to relax and soak in the atmosphere.  And before you know it we are heading back towards Cape Town with a stop at Arniston, with its lime washed thatched houses in the old fishing village.

When we get back to Cape Town you still have time to spend an evening watching the sun go down from the peak of Table Mountain with the lights of Cape Town twinkling below, sure in the knowledge that this journey through South Africa is arguably one of the best rides in the world.

This tour includes the use of a BMW F 700 GS or R 1200 GS motorcycle and is mainly (90%) on tarmac with some riding on easy gravel / dirt roads through the little karoo and into what the locals call “De Hel”.
