For 2010 we have combined the popular BMW Motorrad Days event with an excursion to Austria to stay at a BMW biker hotel in the Austrian Alps. Each year we travel to Garmisch Partenkirchen in southern Germany for the BMW Motorrad Days biker rally - a chance for up to 40,000 BMW owners to converge, meet up, and see some spectacular demonstration rides. There will also be a chance to take part in mass ride-outs and enjoy the hospitality of the huge beer tent in the evenings.

From Garmisch we will continue to a beautiful part of the Austrian Tyrol, where we will stay at the official BMW Motorrad Test Ride hotel in Landeck. Here we will stay for four nights and, over the course of the next three days, you will get to test ride a wide range of current BMW models on some of the best biking roads in Europe.

Those wishing to travel out from Hull to Zeebrugge can use the P&O Ferries overnight sailings at 19.00hrs on 29.06.10, returning on 09.07.10 at 19.00hrs. Cabin accommodation will be booked, but this alternate route will carry a supplement.

Day 1 (30 June) - Folkestone to Nancy

The tour begins with an early morning Eurotunnel crossing from Folkestone to Calais. Once in France the tour group will head east, using a combination of Autoroute and some great back roads to reach our venue for the first night on the outskirts of Nancy. As usual, coffee and lunch stops will be taken on an ad-hoc basis during the day. The hotel has en suite rooms, surface parking and tonight we will enjoy a group dinner. (Mileage; 320)

Day 2 (01 July) - Nancy to Garmisch

Today the tour leaves Nancy on a great ride that crosses the Vosges Mountains, the southern Black Forest and skirts the shores of the Bodensee. Towards mid-afternoon we will arrive in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the next three nights. Accommodation in Garmisch has been spread between our usual selection of four star hotels, all close to the central showground - the base for the BMW Motorrad Days bike-fest. (Mileage; 325)

Days 3 - 5 (02, 03, 04 July) - BMW Motorrad Days

These days are free to explore and enjoy all that the Biker Meeting has to offer, including the usual trade stands, displays, technical help, organised ride-outs, demonstrations, excellent food tents and, of course, the main beer hall for the evening entertainment programme.

Day 3 (02 July) - World of BMW Rideout 1

Whilst there are organised rideouts, arranged by our German hosts, these can book up quite quickly and are often very busy with large groups. Therefore, we have decided once again to offer our own World of BMW rideouts, based on our experience of seeking out the best roads in the region. Today we will head south and over one of the great European Alpine passes, Timmelsjoch, which stands at over 8000 feet high. We then ride the Jauffen Pass, followed by the Brenner Pass to Innsbruck, before returning back to Garmisch. (Mileage; 166)

Day 4 (03 July) - World of BMW Rideout 2

Today's ride will head south-west through St Anton and over the splendid Arlberg Pass. After the popular skiing resort we will swing north through Lech, and along the Lech Valley to Garmisch. (Mileage; 145)

Day 5 (04 July) - Garmisch to Landeck

Today we pack up and leave Garmisch, heading south-west into Austria and to the Tyrolean town of Landeck - home to one of the official BMW Motorrad Test Ride Hotels. The hotel is a typical Tyrol chalet, with ample parking, but also with a large motorcycle workshop and fleet featuring the latest BMW models. These are all available to test ride at a small fee.

Days 6 - 8 (05, 06 & 07 July) - Free days

Over the course of the next three days there will be a host of activities and things to do, including an outdoor Biker Breakfast, high in the hills above Landeck where everyone tucks into a sumptuous hot and cold picnic breakfast; guided rideouts; the chance to arrange test rides on the new models of your choice; and each evening we will return to the hotel for a group dinner together. Or why not take the ski lifts up to the peaks and glaciers?

Day 9 (08 July) - Landeck to Nancy

We leave Austria on day nine, returning to France via a scenic route through Switzerland and the Black Forest. We then head over the Vosges Mountains once more, riding the splendid Col du Bonhomme before continuing back to the outskirts of Nancy. Here we will enjoy our last night of the Tour with a group dinner together. (Mileage; 310)

Day 10 (09 July) - Nancy to Calais

Back in the saddle for the final sprint across France and back to Calais, where we will catch the late afternoon Eurotunnel to Folkestone. (Mileage; 320)
