Like greased lightning.
His babies are BMW classic bikes. He always finds the time to cruise. He stops off at a small restaurant, parks his bike in front of the window and eats a burger while longingly gazing at his companion. But Nick also likes it fast and has enjoyed the thrill of speed on many a motorcycle. His friends don't call him "Blitzen" for no reason. "I'm a speed demon" he admits.

Nick collects motorcycles like others would collect stamps. When he's not riding his BMW, he's revving his bikes from Bultaco, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Norton, Suzuki and Triumph. Nick always gives his all. In numerous projects, he has shown he has a great talent for motorbikes. He always creates something unique on two wheels, conjuring up the perfect retrofit.
"Blitzen" keeps his bikes clean and in order. They have to gleam and shine. "It also makes them easier to repair and you can get to the bottom of any problems quicker. They look better when they're polished." Looks and appearance are important. It's why he loves his leather jacket. He wouldn't get on a bike without it. It is one of a kind. "It gets better with age."
He prefers to head out on his own, but he also doesn't mind riding with small groups. "I find big groups tiring and tense though. Everyone wants to be happy and is after their share of fun on the road." And what would make him happy? "An aeroplane hangar." Because then he'd have enough space for all his motorcycles – always ready to take off.
Nick wants to set off again soon and tour Europe and visit his old home – he was born near Tegernsee lake in Bavaria. He moved to the US as a small child and now lives in Minneapolis. He is also toying with a few other ideas and dreams: Maybe he could take part in the Baja 1000 Rally in Mexico? Or brave the long journey to Argentina and become one with his bike again.
