How to bring an idea onto the street.
At the beginning, our product developers and designers came up with the idea of designing movement-rich areas, such as arms, shoulders and knees, with individual modules, either integrated or attached. The goal was to keep protectors light so that riders could move freely. But how? The solution: Based on a kind of strap technology, we wrapped the suit in places that need protection – in our case with leather – and left individual areas open in order to provide optimal freedom of movement. The result was the “ergonomic design” and thus the final suit design.

We could see the finish line, but there was still work to do. First, it was important for us to develop a suitable and innovative look for the suit. To do so, we tested various structures and finishes. In the end, we decided on leather embossing with a technical structure. Then we had to put the XRide through its paces: Wash tests, weather and non-fade properties, and, of course, test rides and finalisation of the last visual and technical details. The results can be seen – on you as well.
