The British Superbike Championship is widely recognised as one of the strongest domestic race series in the world. With racers travelling from all over the world to compete among the best - many successful riders use the championship as a competitive platform with the hope of progressing to the World Superbike or MotoGP championships. The British Superbike Championship is broadcast in 60 countries, resulting in global viewing figures of 44 million.
The race series has an incredibly large and committed fan base who travel around the country regularly to watch riders push themselves to the limit at some of the country’s most thrilling and unique circuits.
We are lucky enough to have some fantastic teams running BMW Machinery and their riders are among the most favoured in the paddock both for their personalities and racing achievements.
2021 will see BMW’s first ever ‘M’ model, the M 1000 RR take to the grid. Renowned for high performance, the M 1000 RR are expected to be among the front-runners and serious title contenders.
Run by the renowned TAS Racing father son duo of Hector and Philip Neill, SYNETIQ BMW are the officially supported BMW Motorrad UK team in the British Superbike Championship.
For the 2021 season, the team boasts an exciting new rider line-up, with Andrew Irwin and Danny Buchan set for the first ever campaign on the new M 1000 RR.
Managed by legendary Superbike and Isle of Man TT competitor Michael Rutter, Bathams Racing will campaign the M 1000 RR in their distinctive black and gold colour scheme as BMW Motorrad’s official National Superstock 1000 team in 2021.
