Motorrad Tours - Angkor Adventure: Cambodia

Cambodia is a country with a young population but an ancient heritage – exploring it on two wheels is a thoroughly life-enriching experience. Friendly, welcoming people, ancient temples encased by nature and winding mountain riding make for a truly special tour in a country that has shown such resilience since its troubled past.

Having picked up your BMW GS and crossed the Thai / Cambodian border we head for a night on the Gulf of Thailand with the sea lapping just yards from your villa. A mountainous ride that takes in giant Buddha statues and waterfalls ends at the bustling capital city of Phnom Penh. Here we have a free day exploring its past, which includes French colonisation and the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.

Next, we ride along the mighty Mekong River, through villages, and past temples and Buddhas. We cross from the west to east via an ancient ferry. After a night in a remarkable ecolodge, we make for the incredible UNESCO-listed Preah Vihear Temple. From here we have three nights in Siem Reap with a full day tour of the awe inspiring ‘City of Temples’ at Angkor, the world’s largest religious monument that dates back to the 12th century

Our return journey includes a boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake, bigger than Luxembourg, where locals live on the water in floating villages. Our final night of this memorable tour is spent back in Thailand before you fly home, dreaming of returning.

With the only dirt roads on this tour optional, it is accessible to all riders.
