This extended tour boasts extra days to allow a more relaxed pace as we travel south through France. The Vosges mountains are our gateway to Switzerland via the Black Forest as we make our way to the 2,700m high Stelvio Pass and into Italy for two nights on beautiful Lake Garda.
Next, the Passo San Marco takes us to the shores of Lake Como and our hotel for the night. It’s an easy ride the following day along the shores of Como towards Lake Maggiore. We have two days to relax on the lake shore, take a boat trip on the lake or just chill and soak in the beauty.
As we say goodbye to the Alps we still have the Simplon Pass en route to Lake Lausanne. Leaving the lakes behind it’s north through the Jura mountains and onto the beautiful walled town of Beaune. Our final night is spent in the Champagne region. With only two days covering more than 200 miles, great riding has been carefully balanced with time to relax and explore our destinations.
