The technical data refers to the basic model. They may vary depending on the equipment and accessories added to the bike.

1. What advantage does the online bike shop offer me?

Within the online bike shop you will find the latest BMW bikes that are immediately available from our retailers' stock.

If the bike is in stock at BMW, the name of the retailer is not indicated, however you can select this bike and your preferred retailer and the bike will be sent to them for you.

2. Why is it not possible for me to choose the specification I want?

The bikes available within the bike shop are already built. You can of course add BMW Motorrad Original Accessories at a later date. Please contact your retailer to discuss your individual requirements.

If you wish to purchase a bike with a specification not available in our shop, please visit the online configurator to build your perfect bike and your preferred retailer can mange this order for you.

3. Can I only buy pre-configured or already produced bikes from the online bike shop?

Yes, only bikes already in production. The bikes shown are models that are available at short notice from BMW Motorrad retailers or from our stock.

4. If I want to add accessories, can the retailer do this for me?

Yes, the Retailer will be happy to arrange for your new bike to be fitted with optional accessories. Once you have registered your interest in a bike, the Retailer will contact you to discuss the details of the purchase and you can discuss which additional accessories are available for your bike and arrange for them to be fitted before collection.

 

5. Once I have found a bike I like, what happens next?

1. Click on "I Am Interested".

2. Enter your contact details.

3. The retailer will contact you as soon as possible or within one working day.

6. When will the BMW Motorrad Retailer contact me?

As soon as you fill in and complete the form, a notification is sent to the retailer who will contact you within 24 hours or next working day.

 

7. How will the bike be delivered?

1. After you have registered your interest in a bike, the retailer will contact you.

2. You will agree on the delivery date of the bike and all other necessary formalities.

3. You will then complete the purchase and collect the bike or have the bike delivered on an agreed date.

8. Can I test ride the bike before I buy it?

Yes, our Retailer network run demonstrator fleets so all bikes can be test ridden before purchase.

The bikes available in our online shop are unregistered and new so we cannot gurantee that they will have the exact same specification available to test ride.

The Retailer will offer you the same model with closest specificaiton to ensure that you like the model you are buying. If there are any options that you feel you need to experience, please speak to the Retailer and they will meet your needs where ever possible.

9. How does the vehicle registration work and can I keep my number plate?

The registration of the vehicle is carried out by the retailer you are purchasing the bike from.  If you have a private number plate, the bike can be registered with this, as long as you have the correct paperwork from the DVLA.

Speak to the Retailer and they will arrange this for you.

10. Is it possible to finance or lease the bike?

Yes, just indicate your interest in financing or leasing with the Retailer directly and they will go through the various options available to you.

11. Is it possible to trade in my current bike?

Yes, all you need to do is add the details requested of your current bike in the online order form. Your retailer will explain the procedure for trade in when they contact you.

Please note: the retailer is the sole arbiter of whether or not to accept the trade-in of your current bike.

12. How long does it take before I can take delivery of my new bike?

The time between ordering online and delivery of the vehicle varies, depending on where the bike is located. Consult your retailer for more information. We always do our best to deliver your bike as quickly as possible or on a date that suits you.
