Paul is back on the road for another incredible motorcycle adventure, and this time he’s taking on Europe aboard a BMW kindly provided by Vines of Guildford Motorrad.
Setting off from Epsom, Paul will be travelling across Europe, taking on everything from winding mountain roads and scenic routes to the occasional unexpected diversion along the way.
We’ll be following his journey right here, sharing his stories, photos and highlights as the miles add up.

And he’s off! Paul’s first week has taken him from Epsom through Belgium and Luxembourg and into Germany, stopping in Gent, Liege, Frankfurt, Baden-Baden and Nuremberg along the way.
It’s already been an eventful start, featuring cobblestones, ferry crossings, roadworks, switchbacks and some fantastic riding roads – plus a well-earned day exploring the Black Forest.

Paul’s European adventure continues, and Week 2 has brought some of the most memorable riding of the trip so far.
Starting in Nuremberg, Paul headed south to Munich before crossing into Austria, taking in Salzburg, Zell am See, Kaprun, Innsbruck and St Anton, before finishing the week in Zurich, Switzerland.
From 33-degree heat to torrential Austrian rain, unexpected road closures and some seriously challenging mountain switchbacks, it’s been another action-packed week aboard the BMW.
There was also time to step off the bike and explore Zell am See, visit a couple of BMW Motorrad dealerships and enjoy some truly breathtaking Alpine scenery.

Week 3 of Paul’s European adventure certainly wasn’t short of surprises!
Starting in Zurich, Paul continued through Lucerne, Bern and Geneva before crossing into Italy via the spectacular Great St Bernard Pass, eventually reaching Biella and Milan.
The week began with an unexpected puncture, but thanks to BMW Roadside Assistance, Paul was soon back on the road. There were more mountain roads, mystery diversions, an unexpected encounter with the Swiss police and some well-earned time exploring Geneva.
The biggest challenge came on the journey into Italy, tackling the Great St Bernard Pass and some of the toughest switchbacks of the entire tour.
