Riding solo on a BMW R 1300 GS kindly lent to him by Vines of Guildford Motorrad, Paul is travelling thousands of miles across the UK and Ireland to raise vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. His mission is deeply personal: to honour Alison’s memory and support the hospital’s pioneering work in cancer treatment and research.

From battling torrential rain, hail and sunshine on the Isle of Wight, to a 200-mile marathon ride to Standon, then on to Liverpool, the Isle of Man, and finally across to Holyhead in relentless downpours — Paul and the GS have taken it all in their stride.
Next stop: Ireland!

This week has taken Paul from Dublin to Belfast, Londonderry, Ballina, Limerick, Cork and Waterford — over 600 miles of challenging Irish roads, battling relentless rain, fierce crosswinds and even some unexpected off-roading! Despite the weather, the GS has proved unstoppable, and Paul has continued to ride with determination and spirit.

This final week saw Paul travel from Waterford back to Dublin, across to Holyhead, through Standon, Knaresborough, Leicester and finally home to Epsom — bringing his incredible adventure to an end with over 2,000 miles covered. From battling biblical rain and fierce winds to enjoying moments of sunshine and stunning scenery, Paul and the GS took it all in stride.
Along the way, Paul gave a heartfelt interview with Radio Jackie, sharing his story and raising awareness for @royalmarsden.
