The extreme adventure of the International GS Trophy 2020 in New Zealand is very demanding on its participants. They will not be able to overcome those challenges alone. They will master these challenges on the BMW F 850 GS – a motorcycle made for rough terrain. As indestructible as the bike is also its high-performance-kit. The equipment accompanies the participants safe and protected through extreme conditions such as moisture, cold or heat.

The BMW F 850 GS sets new standards in the segment of mid-range travel enduros. The sportiest BMW GS combines more power and torque for even more distinctive touring features with a sovereign off-road capability. With the 21" front wheels the participants conquer the rain forest, stony paths or step-like vegetation. Its easy handling mean participants will find every hurdle a breeze, enabling them to meet the demands of the route. We present you a selection of the installed accessories so that you can convert your own GS into a true GS Trophy bike.

The high-end titanium-clad silencer delivers an impressively rich sound and is a clear avowal to racing, both visually and acoustically. The high-quality slip-on model offers a weight saving of approx. 2.3 kg compared to the standard model thanks to its lightweight design.

The higher Rallye seat impresses thanks to its slim shape for great ground accessibility, particularly hard padding for off-road use and striking Enduro appearance. With a volume of 2.5 to 8 liters, the bag for the pillion seat provides enough storage space for daily trips to work or day trips.

The set, consisting of Enduro footrests, a height-adjustable foot brake lever and a gearshift lever with adjustable kick lever, can be adapted to individual needs. When suitably adjusted, the foot levers can be optimally operated or regulated and allow even better vehicle control especially when riding off-road in a standing position.

The hand protector, made of impact-resistant and UV-resistant plastic, also protects the operating elements against branches and stone chips while riding off-road, and is aerodynamically tailored to the vehicle. On the road, the wind and weather protection offered by the protectors is also impressive: hands and fingers stay longer dry and warm even at low temperatures.

The high handlebars are 14 mm higher than the standard handlebars. This not only enables an upright and comfortable sitting position, but also makes riding while standing particularly comfortable. Secure handling of the motorcycle is noticeably easier (particularly in the standing position) – an indispensable advantage for Enduro riders.

The electropolished stainless steel engine protection bar provides effective protection for the engine housing without compromising the lean angle. This sturdy Enduro aluminium engine guard was specially constructed for off-road use and provides optimal protection for the lower section of the engine.

The powerful LED additional headlights in a compact aluminium housing ensure better vision and visibility even in fog, rain or snowfall. At the same time, their white, daylight-like light colour ensures differentiated illumination of the road. LED technology ensures virtually wear-free operation.

The Pioneer 26 is a original backpack design from the Lowe-brothers from 1985. With a bucket opening with a zipper, an internal organization for valuables and an externally accessible padded 15-inch laptop compartment, it accompanies commuters on small day trips and all their adventures in everyday life.
The Ignition 3 is a lightweight synthetic filled sleeping bag with a small packing size and a good warmth-to-weight ratio. The shape with 3/4 length YKK zipper offers you enough space. The snug internal draft collar with a hood drawcord keeps the warmth in the sleeping bag – so a good and restful night is guaranteed.

On the bike.
Intended specifically for adventure, street and commuting riders, the STX Road Neck Brace is designed to fit over your riding gear. Making use of Alternative Load Path Technology (ALPT®), it helps to transmit energy from helmet to body, bypassing your neck – which is key for reducing neck forces during a crash. The twin scapula wings on the back can be adjusted to fit most body shapes, and the additional height adjusters on the shoulders accommodate different riders’ lengths. For your safety when riding, it has integrated padding that makes movement for over-the-shoulder views easier and more comfortable.
The windproof and waterproof jacket of the suit made of ProTechWool – a functional material mix of polyamide and technical wool – has multiple protection in areas exposed in the event of a fall and features additional ceramic dot prints. NP2 protectors on the back, shoulders and elbows as well as reflective material on the sleeves round off the safety features. A carbon finish increases the abrasion resistance of the fabric. The perforated eyelet lining is breathable and elastic. Maximum comfort is provided by a total of seven pockets, a back pocket for the TrinkPak, width adjustment by means of velcro straps and sophisticated ventilation in the back area as well. Maximum freedom of movement and a comfortable feel-good climate are guaranteed – even under tough conditions and in changing weather conditions.
These goggles are a perfect match for the GS Carbon helmet and offer excellent ventilation for off-road use. Naturally, they also comply with the EN 1938:1998 safety standard. The width-adjustable strap and comfortable padding make them a pleasure to wear. Also available with easy-change transparent, tinted or orange double glazed lens.
The protector vest is a comfortable alternative to a back protector. Thanks to amply-sized coverage of the spine, the shoulder and kidney area, and the chest, it demonstrably offers particularly effective protection. Body heat helps it to achieve an optimal ft, while remaining highly breathable.
Get thirsty while speeding along the highway? Give up the water bottle and go for this adaptable drinking system. Simply fill it with up to 2 liters of liquid, secure the lock mechanism, insert the tube via the Plug&Play connector and stow everything in your Rallye suit or a backpack. Simply sip and ride.
Motorcyclists have to be light on their feet – ideally in breathable functional socks made of odor-resistant material. Thanks to anatomical padding at the ankle, heel and gear-shift area, these socks provide relief in all the right places – even when worn with motorcycle boots with a climate membrane.
